“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”.
As a school with strong Christian values we are involved in many outreach programmes throughout the year. Having a heart for people less fortunate, we believe that it is our social and Godly responsibility to be a blessing to others, and we endeavour to pursue this calling with passion and verve.
The non-profit organisations we assist are: Choc, Sweetheart Foundation, Hotel Hope Ministries, Takkie Tax and New Creation Learning Centre. By being involved in these initiatives we endeavour to instil in our Young Knights a sense of empathy and compassion towards those less privileged. During each year we collect second hand toys, books and household goodies for Hotel Hope, which provide homes for street children and orphans.
We support Randburg SPCA on Valentine’s Day by collecting tins and packets of dog and cat food. During May we bought and sold Takkie Tax stickers, which went to various NGO charities around SA.
During Mandela week we painted crates and donated books to create book corners in the Foundation Phase classes at New Creation Learning Centre. We made inspiring bookmarks and cards to encourage less fortunate children to read. October is Cancer Month and we supported CHOC by collecting new household goodies and groceries for homes in JHB where children are recuperating after cancer treatments.
